Our Customer of the Month for November 2024 is Mr Moore from Newark, Nottinghamshire.  

Mr Moore had always dreamed of having his own games room, but his single garage didn’t provide enough space.

Mr Moore wanted to create a space that could serve as a games room for entertaining family and friends. His existing garage wasn’t large enough to accommodate his pool table, let alone create the open, light-filled environment he envisioned.  

After exploring his options, Mr Moore discovered that a lean-to conservatory would offer both the extra space he wanted, while still offering that ‘outside’ feel. 

Impressed by our website, Mr Moore was eager to learn more. As we are based nearby in Mansfield, just a short drive from his home in Newark, he decided to visit our factory showroom.

Building Mr Moore’s Lean-to conservatory

For Mr Moore, choosing a conservatory over a traditional extension was the perfect solution to creating his dream games room with minimal disruption.

Thanks to our ConservaBase foundation system, there was no need for traditional foundations, allowing the installation to be completed swiftly and with less mess.

Throughout the design process, we worked closely with Mr. Moore, offering layout options and tweaking the design to ensure it matched his exact preferences.

While our conservatories are suitable for DIY builds, most customers, including Mr. Moore, opt to use our Approved Installers. These independent contractors are carefully vetted by us, providing extra peace of mind that the installation will be handled professionally from start to finish.

Mr. Moore’s new lean-to conservatory features our ConservaBase foundation, built using weathered Old Millhouse brick and standard grey mortar, ensuring it complements the existing look of his home and garage.

To ensure year-round comfort and low maintenance, he chose blue self-cleaning solar control glass for the roof. The frames are made from durable white PVCu and finished with sleek chrome handles, adding a modern touch to the design.

With the help of our recommended installer, the conservatory was built smoothly and efficiently. Mr. Moore was especially impressed by the professionalism of the team, noting how polite, tidy, and friendly they were throughout the project.

Now, Mr Moore’s conservatory serves as the perfect games room. With the doors open, he enjoys the feeling of being outdoors while still benefiting from the shelter provided by the conservatory.
