Our March customer project showcases one of our DIY orangeries. Built on a larger scale you’ll see from the images that this has added a sizeable space to their home.
Our DIY Orangery is a popular choice of extension. They differ slightly from the traditional conservatory as they tend to be bigger in size and boast a different style of roof.
Another key difference is the fact they tend to feature brick columns and pilasters, as oppose to the predominantly glass design of a conservatory. Their style boasts elegance, and adds a stylish addition to your home.
Our customer, Mr Jobling, wanted the design of his orangery to perfectly match the style of their house. He liked the look of the large aluminium guttering, so this was requested to feature within the conservatory design.
He also wanted spotlights inside the orangery, so required an internal pelmet. These requests where all worked into the design specifications.
And as you can see, the end result matched their specifications perfectly, leaving our customer very impressed with their spacious new orangery.

As mentioned Mr Jobling wanted a DIY orangery which was made to measure, and fully fitting to the current style of his home.
Mr Jobling certainly took advantage of this, opting for an orangery which was 7850mm by 3800mm – a sizeable extension to relax in.
Additional design specifications included a self-cleaning glass roof. This roof option proves very convenient, especially for a larger orangery design, as the glass roof can often become more difficult to clean.

DIY Orangery Installation Process
When it came to the installation of the conservatory, the process went smoothly from start to finish, which is the ideal outcome for all our installations.
Mr Jobling opted to build the orangery himself, and I’m sure you’ll agree this was done to a high standard.
The quality of the finish doesn’t just remain on the exterior however, the interior has been thoughtfully designed and executed to a high spec also.
As you can see from the pictures shared, our customer opted for the traditional wicker furniture, with the addition of a variety of plants, which makes for a relaxing space.
If you purchase one of our conservatories, but do not want to execute the build yourself, we do have a network of approved conservatory installers available.
These installers work separately to ConservatoryLand but the quality of their work has been approved by us. This allows you to feel confident that the build will be completed to a high standard.
So, this is definitely an option worth exploring if you don’t feel confident to complete the build yourself.
