January 2019 Customer of the Month: DIY Lean-to extension kit, Suffolk
Our latest customer of the month purchased a DIY Lean-to extension kit, to add additional space to their home. One of our popular designs, Lean-to conservatories gets its name from its sloping roof, as it makes them appear as if they are leaning against your home.
Prior to the delivery of their conservatory, Mr Samaraweera requested a glass roof, with the self-cleaning option. This was wanted, as it allows for the cleaning of the conservatory to be low maintenance.

As discussed, Mr Samaraweera requested the self-cleaning glass roof as part of his conservatory design. This was the main bespoke feature he requested, with the design itself being very much standard to the Lean-to style.
You will see from the CAD designs below, that the Lean-to conservatory design, makes the most of the space available, with the square shape (3000mm x 3000mm) offering the perfect space to relax in.
The double doors opening out into the garden really helps to bring the outdoors in, allowing for a more open-plan feel – especially in the summer months.
DIY Lean-to extension kit installation process
When it came to building the DIY Lean-To Extension Kit, the customer opted to use a local installer to carry out the build.

Although an in-depth instruction booklet is provided with the conservatory itself, to allow you to successfully complete the build, many of our customers choose to opt for a professional to carry out the installation. This is usually done for ease, as it’s often hard to find the time to complete this yourself.
You will be happy to know, however, that our DIY conservatories take as little as 3 days to build. So it’s worth considering us if you’d like to add an extension to your home; as you too could have your own conservatory built in less than a week.
During the installation of the Lean-to conservatory, there were minimal challenges. However, we did ensure that the conservatory size met the customer’s exact specifications.
And I’m sure you will agree from the pictures, that the finished extension is a real asset to their home, with the installers building the conservatory to a really high standard.
