Building Mr Ashby’s Edwardian conservatory
While we do have a network of Approved Installers to take care of the build, Mr Ashby opted for DIY assembly to save more of his budget. He has completed renovation projects in the past and completed the build with his wife in a matter of days. Thanks to our easy-to-follow instructions and ConservatoryLand YouTube tutorials, the build went smoothly from start to finish.
Mr Ashby particularly liked the colour-coded parts and described the process as easy as flat-pack builds. When they put in the final pane of glass, he was over the moon with how it looked. They were in awe of the finished result, and now they can spend their days relaxing in their brand-new conservatory, all thanks to their hard work.
Just like with all our conservatories, Mr Ashby had the freedom to design every detail of his custom Edwardian conservatory, from the base options to the type of roof. He selected our energy-efficient Blue Self-Cleaning Solar Control Glass for both the roof and our floor-to-ceiling windows. This innovative glass helps keep the conservatory cool in summer and warm in winter, allowing Mr Ashby and his family to enjoy the space comfortably all year round.
For the frame, Mr Ashby chose a traditional white uPVC that perfectly matches his home’s windows. Our frames can be customised with different colours inside and out. In this case, he opted for white on the interior to create a bright and airy feel. The result is a conservatory that looks like it has always been part of the property.
Mr Ashby and his wife love relaxing in their new bright and airy conservatory while admiring their garden. The Edwardian-style conservatory features patio doors that open up the home to the garden, creating a welcoming, sun-filled space. This gives them a peaceful place to unwind with easy access to the outdoors, morning, noon, and night.
Mr Ashby and his wife love the versatility of their new conservatory, finding it perfect for all their needs. They had a great experience with ConservatoryLand and happily recommend us to all their friends and family considering an extension, or replacing an existing one.
