Building Mrs Davison’s Edwardian conservatory
Mrs Davison chose to use our ConservaBase — an all-in-one base, floor and wall system suitable for both do-it-yourself and professional installations.
After fitting concrete pads, the installer built the steel base frame and installed insulation sheets. Every part fits perfectly, so the installation process is faster than a traditional build. Once the foundations were in place, it was time to construct the frames.
Mrs Davison chose white conservatory frames to match her property’s window frames. We manufacture our frames from high-quality fully-sculptured uPVC profiles. They’re designed to withstand the elements. And thanks to our 10-year guarantee, Mrs Davison will have peace of mind that her extension is built to last.
To bring the beauty of the outdoors into her new space, Mrs Davison opted for double doors opening out to the garden. During the warmer months, she can open the doors to create a light and airy room.
She selected privacy panels on the right-hand side of her conservatory that faced the neighbours’ property. This ensures she’ll have peace and privacy, while the sleek pitched roof allows plenty of natural light to enter the space.
Mrs Davison opted for bronze polycarbonate for the roof, a popular option for many of our customers. It reduces glare and heat build-up in the summer months. She was delighted that her comfortable, sun-filled room would be the ideal place to entertain guests.
The conservatory installation was finished in just a few short days. Mrs Davison added some finishing touches, including blinds, flooring and furniture, and the space was ready to use.
